The workshop gives a highly valued and popular venue for members as a well-equipped craft facility. It started in 2016 in a small stone-built store room, but the success of the project demanded an increase in floor space and the extension now provides triple the original floor area. In October 2020 the building met a problem with a Covid-related supply issue; and there was a danger that, without proper roofing, the partly completed structure would suffer weather damage. The Trust provided funding to enable the community to install temporary cover in the form of heavy duty tarpaulins.
