Phase One of the project was to relocate the maintenance shed, as its current location is located over all the utilities they require for the toilet and shower block. The shell of the shed has been erected. The internal fitting work will be carried out by the campsite maintenance team. Gordon Scouts have appointed William Lippe architects for the design of the toilet and shower block and will be applying for planning permission shortly.
The campsite is currently closed for safety reasons as Storm Arwen felled around 30 mature trees, wrecked the assault course and badly damaged two of the small camp huts. The Scouts have been very fortunate that none of the major facilities on the site was damaged in the storm.
