The Chairman of the Trust visited the Tarland Bee Group, which we supported last year, as they were planting the wild flower meadow in October; and early signs are good that most have survived the winter.

Beginners’ classes have just started for 2020 and the Bee Group have a lovely group of folk learning The Art of Beekeeping.  Their next big event will be a team workshop to make up lots of hives and frames. These hives will be leased out to beginners.  The Group also managed to purchase an observation hive so the public will be able to view the bees through glass when they get bees housed in there this summer.
